10 October 2018 Book Releases I’m Excited About

October 2018 Book Releases I'm Excited About On Novels And Nonfiction

There was quite the bounty of new novels released in October 2018, so I ended up going with 6 fiction and 4 nonfiction titles I’m likely going to pick up for this month’s post. There were some big releases that are not included in this list like the new Stephen King title – I had to make some hard decisions guys. The novels are all either historical fiction or contemporary fiction (or both! I’m looking at you Unsheltered by Barbara Kingsolver), while the nonfiction titles are more varied.

I’m pretty curious to see if any of the novels end up being Book Of The Month selections for October, and I have my fingers crossed that it ends up being some of the titles I really want to read but that I haven’t been able to access via Net Galley. If I was a betting person I would put my stakes on Bitter Orange by Claire Fuller (since they’ve featured a novel by her before) and Family Trust by Kathy Wang (because it’s their kind of contemporary novel). I guess we’ll have to wait till October 1st and see!

10 September 2018 Book Releases I’m Excited About

September 2018 Book Releases On Novels And Nonfiction

Being home in Milan for the past 2 weeks has given me the opportunity to stockpile some blog posts, so I expect i’ll be posting regularly on the blog again going forward.

Here are my selections for September. As in prior months, I’ve selected 5 fiction and 5 nonfiction titles coming out in September 2018 that I’m potentially interested in reading. There’s a good mix of historical fiction, memoirs, politics and thrillers.

I’m trying to get my monthly release post started earlier in the prior month, so I can request any available titles on Net Galley and get the reviews for them out as close to the publication date as possible. I’ve receive ARC’s for two of the titles on this list so far (The Seclusion by Jacqui Castle and I Should Have Honor by Khalida Brohi), and I’ve finished the first and have started the second already. Hope you like my selections!

10 June 2018 Book Releases I’m Excited About

June 2018 Book Releases On Novels And Nonfiction

As in prior months, I’ve selected 5 fiction and 5 nonfiction titles coming out in June 2018 that I’m potentially interested in reading. There were quite a few heavy hitters publishing new books this month, including Fredrik Backman with his sequel to BeartownUs Against You – and Lauren Groff with a new collection of short stories. I think I’m even more interested in some of the debut novels and memoirs included in this list though.

I’m working on getting myself back up to a regular posting schedule on the blog, but real life keeps getting in the way. This weekend, I’ll be enjoying myself at a wedding out of town, so I’m not sure what activity on the blog will look like through next week. I’ve been reading so much that I’m WAY behind on reviews. Send some good blogging vibes my way!

10 May 2018 Book Releases I’m Excited About

May 2018 Book Releases I'm Excited About On Novels And Nonfiction

This post is coming a bit later than normal because I’m getting into the busiest time of the year at my real life job. Through end of May, I will likely have an even harder time than usual (ha ha) with keeping on a semi-regular posting schedule, so my apologies in advance!

For this month, I picked 10 releases as is the norm, but with a slight skew towards fiction (6) versus nonfiction (4). I just couldn’t choose between all the novels I was interested in reading. I’ve made a semi-resolution to dedicate myself to getting caught up with books I already own and haven’t read yet (in part because of the 11 signed books I acquired during the LA book Festival) so I may not get to many of these titles for a while – but boy do I wish I had the time to read all of them. I hope you get some good inspiration for your TBR!

10 April 2018 Book Releases I’m Excited About

April 2018 Book Releases On Novels And Nonfiction

If you’re being slowly crushed by a huge pile of physical or digital books you must read asap raise your hand. If, despite that, you can’t help but yearn to know what is just around the bend in the bookish world, and add even more titles to your TBR list, you’re in good company.

There are definitely a few of these April 2018 releases that I was so excited about that I requested physical or digital copies regardless of all the other books glaring at me from a shelf or my Kindle. But the majority will likely have to wait while I get my reading life in order (maybe never?).

I tried to include a little bit of everything – lots of history, both fictional and not, but also fantasy, two memoirs, politics and a little science thrown in with a curveball dinosaur pick. Enjoy!

10 March 2018 Book Releases I’m Excited About

March 2018 Book Releases On Novels And NonfictionEvery month, I pick 5 nonfiction and 5 fiction books being released that month that sound like good reads to me, based on my personal preference in topics and genres, as well as advance reviews on Goodreads and Amazon.

This month I definitely did not have a hard time picking ten amazing new releases, and there’s something for every taste. From historical fiction novels, to thrillers, to inspiring memoirs and even uncharacteristically a little YA/fantasy.

I’m already in possession (or soon to be in possession) of two of these titles and can’t wait to share my reviews with you. Hope you also find some worthwhile picks for your TBR!
