Links I Loved This Week

book-links

  • This week was Banned Books Week and I took this little quiz to find out which banned book I am. Apparently, I’m Kate Chopin’s The Awakening and that’s why it made its way onto my Fall 2016 TBR list. Take the quiz yourself and find your banned book personality

  • Hopewell’s Public Library Of Life actually posted a review of The Awakening this week. It was nicely coincidental since I’m now planning on reading it, even though she didn’t like the novel. I think it’s a very polarizing work so I’m looking forward to deciding for myself when I get to it later this fall.
  • I really enjoyed Novels And Teacups’ review of Street Of Eternal Happiness by Rob Schmitz. I loved the book when I read it earlier in September and you can read my own review of it here.
  • Naz at Read Diverse Books continues to generate amazing content for Latinx Heritage Month. Make sure you check out his website and read through the posts he and several guest bloggers have contributed on his blog during the week.
  • BookTube channels are something I haven’t really delved into yet, but Parchment Girl put together this handy list of her Top 10 BookTube channels back in July and I’m going to check them all out soon.

  • This past weekend I wrote a post on 6 Podcasts About Books You’ll Love To Listen To. They’ve really expanded my knowledge of current book news and they consistently provide me with amazing book recommendations. If you like podcasts you should definitely listen in!
  • On Monday I will be publishing a post on new October 2016 book releases I’m excited for. Look out for it as I know you guys really enjoyed my September 2016 Book Release post.
  • I’m also hoping to post a review of The City Of Palaces by Michael Nava on Wednesday, linking it up to Naz’s Read Diverse Books blog for Latinx Heritage Month. I’m well into the book and loving it so far.

Wow! You were really busy this week. I loved that What Banned Book Are you? quiz– I turned into The Grapes of Wrath! That has been on my TBR for literally years, but I keep giving myself excuses not to read it. I’d better pony up and read it now.

Thanks so much for linking to my post. I’m really glad you enjoyed my TTT enough to feature it in your favourite links, especially considering how many other great ones there were for this week!
I’ll be sure to check out the other links you featured as well, especially your own, they all sound really interesting! 😀

Thanks Beth! You made me consider some titles a little out of my usual reading taste, so I though it would be great to include you 🙂 Thank you for the recommendations!

Hey – thanks so much for the mention! So glad you liked my review – I really enjoyed yours too and I think the same things resonated with both of us when reading. 🙂
